Persija ended a series of bad results after beating Dewa United 4-1

Jakarta (ANTARA) – Persija Jakarta ended a series of bad results after beating Dewa United with a score of 4-1 in the 27th week of the Indonesian League 1 at the Captain I Wayan Dipta Stadium, Gianyar, Bali.

According to Indonesian League records, previously Persija Jakarta had to be willing to suffer three consecutive defeats against Borneo FC, Madura United and Arema FC.

In this match, Persija Jakarta’s victory came thanks to two goals each from Marko Simic and Ryo Matsumura, while Dewa United responded through Risto Mitrevski’s penalty.

This victory also brought Persija Jakarta up to seventh place with 35 points from 27 matches, while Dewa United dropped to eighth place with the same points.

In the first half, Dewa United had the first chance through Alex Martins’ kick, but it was blocked by Persija goalkeeper Andritany Ardhiyasa.

Persija succeeded in taking the lead in the 15th minute after Ryo Matsumura’s corner was converted into a goal through Marko Simic’s header so the score changed to 1-0.

Buying and selling attacks continued, this time it was Dewa’s turn to have a golden opportunity through Egy Maulana Vikri’s hard horizontal kick which was still being held by Andritany.

Persija successfully doubled their lead to 2-0 in the 29th minute after Reyhan Hannan’s cross was grabbed by Simic into Dewa’s unguarded goal.
