Medan (ANTARA) – Menteri Pemuda dan Olahraga Dito Ariotedjo mengajak media untuk turut menyukseskan Aquabike Jetski World Championship 2023 Danau Toba pada 22-26 November yang digelar di empat kabupaten, yakni Samosir, Karo, Dairi, dan Toba.Saya berharap rekan-rekan jurnalis dapat menyebarkan informasi agar acara ini sukses, kata Dito Ariotedjo dalam konferensi pers virtual Aquabike Jetski World Championship 2023 dari Jakarta, Jumat.
Menurutnya, suksesnya kejuaraan berskala internasional ini tidak lepas dari peran media dan jurnalis karena mampu memberikan informasi ke seluruh pelosok Indonesia.
“Media mempunyai peran penting dalam kejuaraan jetski dunia ini,” kata Dito.
Ia optimistis Kejuaraan Dunia Aquabike Jetski di Danau Toba mampu mendongkrak iklim pariwisata Indonesia, khususnya di Sumut yang bertindak sebagai tuan rumah.
“Event sport pariwisata seperti ini akan terus kami adakan,” ucapnya.
Selain itu, dalam skala kecil, kata Dito, Aquabike Jetski juga diharapkan dapat mendorong pertumbuhan UMKM yang melibatkan masyarakat sekitar Danau Toba, Sumut.
“Kabupaten/kota akan kita libatkan penuh karena menurut saya ini ajang merah putih bagi Indonesia dan masing-masing kabupaten harus terlibat maksimal,” ujarnya.
