Jakarta (ANTARA) – Los Angeles Lakers menghapus rekor sembilan kemenangan beruntun New York Knicks usai laga di Madison Square Garden New York, Minggu WIB yang berakhir 113-105 untuk keunggulan LeBron James dkk.Usai kemenangan Lakers atas Celtics yang fenomenal karena tanpa LeBron James dan Davis, kini tim Los Angeles melanjutkan laga serupa melawan Knicks.
LeBron James mencetak 24 poin, Austin Reaves menyumbang 22 poin, D’Angelo Russell dan Taurean Prince masing-masing mencetak 16 poin, dan Anthony Davis menyelesaikan dengan double-double 12 poin dan 18 rebound saat Lakers meraih kemenangan kedua berturut-turut.
“Kami hanya berusaha mencapai posisi di mana kami memainkan permainan bola basket yang kami impikan,” kata pelatih Lakers Darvin Ham seperti dikutip dari situs resmi NBA.
“Jenis bola basket yang kami tahu dapat kami mainkan dan pertahankan pada level yang sangat tinggi,” kata Darvin Ham. Ia yakin timnya memiliki kekuatan yang cukup baik sebagai starter maupun pemain yang masuk dari bangku cadangan.
NBA All-Star Jalen Brunson mencetak 36 poin dan 10 rebound. Donte DiVincenzo menyumbang 26 poin, Josh Hart menyumbang 12 poin dan 11 rebound, dan Precious Achiuwa menambahkan 10 poin.
