Jakarta (ANTARA) – Dua gelandang yakni Adam Alis dan Arkhan Fikri tidak masuk dalam timnas asuhan pelatih Shin Tae-yong yang dipersiapkan untuk Piala Asia 2023.Sebelumnya, Pelatih Shin telah memanggil 29 pemainnya untuk mengikuti pemusatan latihan di Türkiye. Namun Yance Sayuri gagal bergabung dengan rekan-rekannya di timnas karena cedera.
Dari total 28 pemain yang dibawa mengikuti pemusatan latihan di Turki, pelatih Shin kini mencoret Adam dan Arkhan, seperti dikutip dari laman resmi PSSI. Jadi total pemain timnas Piala Asia 2023 saat ini berjumlah 26 orang.
Posisi yang biasa ditempati Adam Alis kini diisi oleh Witan Sulaeman, Egy Maulana Vikry, Saddil Ramdani, dan Dendy Sulistyawan. Sementara nama-nama seperti Ivar Jenner, Mark Klok, Ricky Kambuaya, dan Marcelino Ferdinan berada di posisi yang biasa ditempati Arkhan.
Saat ini timnas masih berada di Turki untuk melaksanakan pemusatan latihan dan menggelar beberapa laga uji coba. Pada laga uji coba pertama yang berlangsung Selasa (2/1), timnas kalah 0-4 dari Libya.
Timnas masih akan melakoni laga uji coba melawan Libya pada Jumat (5/1), sebelum kemudian menghadapi Iran di Qatar pada Selasa (9/1).

Piala Asia 2024 akan dimulai pada 12 Januari di Qatar. Pada ajang tersebut, Indonesia tergabung di Grup D bersama Irak (15/1), Vietnam (19/1), dan Jepang (24/1).
